Introduction

In celebration of World Food Day, Palar Agricultural College, Department of Food Science and Technology hosted a vibrant food festival that brought together students, faculty, and the community. The highlight of the event was the engaging fireless cooking competition, where students showcased their culinary creativity without using any heat.

Fest Overview

The Food fest drew a lively crowd of students and food enthusiasts, transforming the campus into a hub of international flavors and culinary exploration. Various groups featured dishes from around the globe, including vegetarian options and cultural specialties, promoting awareness of food diversity and sustainability.

Fireless Cooking Competition

The centerpiece of the festival was the fireless cooking competition, designed to challenge students to create innovative dishes without cooking. Participants worked in teams, utilizing fresh ingredients, garnishes, and unconventional techniques to impress the judges.

  • Judging Panel: Comprising faculty members, the judges evaluated dishes based on creativity, taste, presentation, and nutritional value.

Students of International Delhi Public School attended the fest and they actively involved and gained knowledge regarding various healthy cuisines and their nutritional importance to implement in their daily diet. They also came to know about importance of food security and community support.
